		<head>Scope and Contents</head> 
		<p>Black and white postcards collected by M. D. Bownds depict Mexicans
		  seeking refuge in the United States from conflicts between the Federalists and
		  Pancho Villa's forces during the Mexican Revolution. The refugees walked from
		  Presidio to Marfa where the U.S. Army then transported them to El Paso where
		  they were repatriated in Juarez.</p>
