Biographical Note
Virginia Catherine (Shaw) Billingsley (ca. 1843-ca. 1920) was born in Mississippi, where she married James Bolivar Billingsley (1828-1882) in 1850. The couple moved to a plantation in Marlin, Falls County, Texas, on land inherited from his cousin Willis Lang in 1865.
