Scope and ContentsRecollections by Benedict (b. 1874) of his 1894 experience as a cowboy on the 8 Ranch in the Panhandle area of Texas include descriptions of cattle ranches and businesses, drives, clothing, housing, routine tasks, stampedes, river crossings, and roping and brandings.
