Biographical Note

Edward Christian Henry Batel (1874-1965) was an Engineer, Professor, Dean of the College of Engineering, and Dean and Professor Emeritus at the University of Texas.

Scope and Contents

Recordings of the life experiences of Bantel include letters from many of his associates on the University of Texas faculty and from many of his ex-students, honoring him on his retirement from an active teaching role. Also included is a guest register list probably from the party given in his honor at the time of his retirement. There also is a biography of Bantel in poetry.
