	 <head>Scope and Contents</head><p>The collection contains oral history
		interviews of nine school principals from the Dallas Independent School
		District who served during the desegregation era, 1950’s -1970’s, as well as a
		former local activist. The interviews include considerable reflection by the
		administrators on the process and outcome of school integration, reflecting the
		ways in which desegregation policies affected the persons responsible for
		policy implementation.</p>
