Richard N. Adams was a Professor of
Anthropology at the University of Texas at Austin. He was the Rapoport
Centennial Professor Emeritus of Liberal Arts and a fellow of the John Simon
Guggenheim Memorial Foundation in 1973. He was president of AAA. BA, Michigan
1947, MA Yale 1949, PhD 1951. Director of Latin American Studies.
