A Guide to the Texas Veterans Association Papers
Biographical NoteThe Texas Veterans Association was formed in 1873 as an organization for those who served before, during and just after the Texas Revolution. The Association met annually, but was dissolved in 1907. The work begun by the Texas Veterans Association has been continued by the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. Return to the Table of Contents Scope and ContentsThe Texas Veterans Association Papers consist of letters, minutes, legal documents, military discharges and register concerning Texas veterans of the Texas Revolution and the Mexican War. Papers consist of a personal dossier of each member; proof of military service; and official minutes of the Association. Papers relate to military affairs and social affairs.
