			<p>Eugene Nelson emigrated with his family from Sweden to Travis County, Texas, during the mid-19th century. The Nelson family was acquainted with other Swedish immigrant families in the area, including the Palm family and the Wilson family.</p>

			<p>Comprised of correspondence in Swedish, the Eugene Nelson Family Papers, [ca. 1850-1869], document the experiences of Swedish immigrant Eugene Nelson and his family in Travis County, Texas. Many letters are written by Agnes Wilson and Laura Palm, the wife of Swedish immigrant Swante Palm, to members of the Nelson family.</p>
