Empresario; colonizer of the Texas towns of Castroville, D'Hanis, Quihi, and Vandenburg.
Scope and Contents
Papers consist of a manuscript volume containing Castro's description of Texas and his colonization efforts, along with diary entries and copies of correspondence. The collection also includes the photostat of a ship's list of L'Ebro, newspaper clippings and miscellaneous documents.
