		<head>Scope and Contents</head><p>In 1983 Ave Bonar took photographs of
		  the first trailer park in Austin, Texas, at 1600 Barton Springs Road.
		  Commissioned by Susan Toomey Frost, granddaughter of the developer, Bonar's
		  photos appeared in the November 1984 issue of <emph render="italic">Third
		  Coast</emph> magazine.</p><p>During Ann Richards' 1990 campaign for Texas
		  governor, Bonar served as the official campaign photographer. Some of these
		  photos were published in <emph render="italic">With Ann: A Journey Across Texas
		  with a Candidate for Governor</emph> (1991). Also included is an oral history
		  of Bonar's experiences photographing the campaign.</p><p>Postcards in the
		  collection represent Bonar's work from 1974-1990. The images are representative
		  examples of her work in Texas, California, and Ecuador.</p>
