		<head>Biographical Note</head><p>Walter Lawrence Daniel was born on June
		  24, 1896 in Brownwood, Texas. He acquired his photographic skills while in the
		  United States Army Signal Corps at Columbia University in New York City in
		  1918. Following his stint in the army, he established commercial studios in
		  Brownwood, Lubbock, and Weatherford, Texas. During World War II, he was the
		  official photographer for Camp Wolters in Mineral Wells, Texas. Daniel died in
		  Fort Worth, Texas in 1984.</p>

		  consists of photographic prints and negatives, many of them in panoramic
		  format. Subjects include Texas towns, rodeos, the cotton industry, higher
		  education, and politics form 1918 to 1958.</p>
