		<p>Henderson completed his doctorate at the University of
		  Wisconsin-Madison in 1964 under the direction of R. H. Bing, and went on to
		  teach at Cornell University. His research interests include geometric topology
		  and mathematics education.</p>

		<p>This collection consists of the mathematics course notes taken by
		  David Henderson while a graduate student at the University of
		  Wisconsin-Madison, ca. 1961-1964. Most of the courses were in topology. Also
		  includes one photograph (electronic printout) of a wedding group, ca. 1900 with
		  connections to American mathematics. </p>
