The collection documents transportation worldwide with emphasis on railroads in the United States. Most of the material was brought together by members of the Electric Railroad Association, Texas Division, to assist Varney in editing the Short circuit bulletin from 1963 to 1985. Included is the extensive collection of Ed Strong.
