Arlington College Diploma:
Arlington College was the first iteration of the school that would eventually become the University of Texas at Arlington. Established in 1898, Arlington College was originally a private school that offered instruction from the elementary to high school levels.
The diploma is a printed form completed in manuscript, May 27, 1898, and states that Minnie Spruance "has completed in a satisfactory manner the studies prescribed for the Grammar School of Arlington College." A list of the courses passed are recorded in manuscript on the diploma. It is signed by principals, L. M. Hammond and M. W. Glass.
