Historical Note

The Dallas Typographical Union No. 173 in Dallas, Texas, received its first charter on June 5, 1875, from the International Typographical Union. Four charters were surrendered before the final charter was issued on October 23, 1885.


Scope and Contents

Records are comprised of eleven minute books and one disassembled scrapbook. The bound volumes of minutes, 1892-1956, record and describe the proceedings of meetings held by Dallas Typographical Union No. 173 in Dallas, Texas, and include the minutes of regular, special, and executive board meetings. Minutes also contain clippings pertaining to meetings scattered throughout pages.
