Historical Note

The International Longshoremen's Association (ILA) is a labor union of maritime and dock workers founded in 1892. The ILA was headquartered in New York City at the time the directories were published.


Scope and Contents

Collection consists of 11 directories, 1938, 1944, 1946-1950, 1952, 1957, 1959, 1961. Each directory contains lists of all locals associated with the International Longshoremen's Association and is organized by state and district.
