Historical Note

Formed in 1923, the Dallas County Farm-Labor Political Conference was a non-partisan organization comprised of delegates from trade unions in Dallas County. It met on a regular basis at the Dallas Labor Temple to discuss political candidates and issues.


Scope and Contents

Minutes record and describe the proceedings of meetings held by the Dallas County Farm-Labor Political Conference, May 3 to June 28, 1924 and January 3 to January 31, 1925. Topics discussed in the minutes include officers and delegates to the meetings; organizational matters; financial matters; and political candidates, issues, and endorsements. Minutes also include a letter from the Dallas Culinary Alliance, Local 659, January 8, 1925, appointing delegates to the conference and a copy of the group's Preamble and Demands, 1923.
