The Texas Social and Legislative Conference was a coalition of labor and liberal groups in Texas organized in 1944 for the purpose of coordinating activities toward the support and enactment of progressive legislation especially as it pertained to labor, economic, and social welfare issues.

Records include correspondence, clippings, constitutions, newsletters, membership lists, minutes, and resolutions. Materials pertain to the organization of the Texas Social and Legislative Conference; the Conference's stances on labor and social welfare legislation and proposals; and various local and state labor and economic conditions.
