The International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) is a labor union affiliated with the AFL-CIO. The Waco Fire Fighters Association, Local 478 was organized in 1938 in Waco, Texas and is one of the original charter members of the Texas State Association of Fire Fighters.

Records consist of one folder of minutes and a photocopy of the Constitution and Bylaws of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Waco Fire Fighters Association, Local 478. The minutes record and describe the events and proceedings of meetings held by Local 478. They include dated entries of meetings, the number of participants present for meetings, motion proposals, voting results of motions put forth, officer and delegate election results, and descriptions of union business including pay scales, work hours, member dues, and contributions to charitable organizations.
