Biographical NoteDr. Jack R. Woolf came to Arlington State College in 1957 as Dean of the College. The next year, following the death of Dr. Hereford, he was named acting president. In 1959 he became President of the College (which became the University of Texas at Arlington in 1966), a position he held until 1968. He then became a professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department.
