H. Ross Perot Political Collection:
Henry Ross Perot, born on June 27, 1930, is an American businessman best known for running for President of the United States. He ran as an independent in 1992 and in 1996 under the Reform Party, founded by him in 1995. Perot received a 18.9% of the vote in 1992 and only 8% of the vote in 1996, though he won no electoral college votes in either election. His turnout in the 1992 election made him the most successful third-party candidate since Theodore Roosevelt in the 1912 election.
This collection contains flyers, news clippings, correspondence, newsletters, magazines, newspapers, VHS tapes, and scrapbooks documenting Ross Perot’s political campaigns and major political events, 1992 to 2003.
