Biographical NoteDr. Thomas Watts has been an instructor at the University of Texas at Arlington since 1974. He has been a professor since 1985. Dr. Watts received his doctoral degree from Tulane University in 1976. His research interests include social welfare policy and services. Additionally, he is interested in comparative and international social welfare policy, political context, social thought, urban Native Americans, and the welfare state. Among other awards and nominations, in 2000 he received the Friends of the UT Arlington Libraries Faculty Award.
