Abstract: |
Rotary International District 5790 encompassed 68 Rotary clubs in north central Texas during the tenure of District Governor Charles Kurtzman, July 1, 2003 through June 30, 2004. These 68 Rotary clubs are located from Tarrant County west, ranging from Arlington to Hamlin, and Vernon to Brownwood. Kurtzman's home Rotary club is Fort Worth South. Kurtzman is a physicist by training, and at the time of his district governorship, was a computer consultant for pharmaceutical companies and blood centers. This collection represents the records that Kurtzman maintained for all 68 Rotary clubs in his district. Arranged by the name of the club, each file generally includes reports of visits to the club by the District Governor or Assistant District Governor plus materials that relate specifically to that particular Rotary club. These additional items could include, but are not limited to correspondence, lists of club officers and committee chairs, membership lists, newsletters, and information about civic and service projects. These records provide a summary of Rotary club activities in north central Texas from 2003 to 2004. |
