Lloyd Clark Papers:A Guide
Biographical NoteLloyd Clark was a student at North Texas Agricultural College from 1940-1942. He was editor of the Shorthorn during the 1941-1942 school year. He was cadet commander of the R.O.T.C. battalion from June-September 1942. He privately published an alumni newsletter, the Ex-Claimer, later renamed the Ex-Press during his service in World War II. The newsletter served as a morale booster for ex-students, parents of ex-students, and faculty. Clark was elected president of the Ex-Students Association in 1946 and remained active until he moved to Arizona in 1948. In the fall of 1947 the Ex-Press was taken over by the Ex-Students Association, with Clark remaining as editor.
