The records consist primarily of correspondence and incoming circulars for 1920-1923 and 1926-1928. Most of the correspondence is from the B.R.T. Grand Lodge and other local lodges. Also present are correspondence, minutes, receipts, and printed material (1909-1927) as well as proceedings of conventions for the Legislative Assembly, Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen (1921-1922, 1927), the Western Association of General Committees of Order of Railway Conductors and B.R.T. (1927) and the Fourteenth Biennial Legislative Assembly of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen of Texas (1926). The records also include correspondence, minutes, and printed material of the Legislative Board of Texas of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen (1920-1927) and material from the Kessler Plan Association of Dallas, Texas.

This collection was received in four letter books which were discarded because of their poor condition. The materials were placed in acid-free folders in their original filing order and were then arranged in chronological order. With a few exceptions, the records are in good physical condition. Some letters are damaged due to age and vermin.
