Historical Note

Fort Worth Local 277 was chartered on May 21, 1952, as Office Employes International Union, Local 277. In 1966 the name was changed to Office and Professional Employees International Union.

Scope and Contents

Correspondence, agreements, contracts, legal documents, address and voting lists, questionnaires, newsletters, clippings, photographs, notes, booklets, brochures, and leaflets. Retired files relating to the companies with which Local 277 negotiated contracts, agreements, and grievances. Includes National Labor Relations Board briefs, decisions, ballots, and notices.

 

Organization

The collection is arranged in alphabetical order. All materials within files are in reverse chronological order as received. If more than one file exists for a company, the contents were not disturbed even though the file dates overlap.
