Fort Worth Local 277 was chartered on May 21, 1952, as Office Employes International Union, Local 277. In 1966 the name was changed to Office and Professional Employees International Union.

The remaining materials were loose documents which were divided and organized by company in an effort to restore the probable original arrangement. Documents which were not identified by company or which were printed materials of the local, were placed in a miscellaneous file.
