Austin Typographical Union No. 138 was organized on April 30, 1870, and chartered on May 17, 1870, in Austin, Texas, as a local of the International Typographical Union.

 Scope and Contents

Minutes, financial documents, and membership records, 1870-1948; constitution, 1870; newspaper clippings, 1949-1964; and anniversary histories, 1950-1970. Includes a volume of blacklisted members, circa 1873-1897, and union items from 1923 which were removed from the cornerstone of the Austin Labor Temple in 1959.
