The Port Arthur Trades and Labor Council, Port Arthur, Texas, and the Sabine Area Industrial Union Council, Port Neches, Texas, merged in 1958 to form the Sabine Area Trades and Labor Council, Beaumont, Texas.

All of boxes 3 and 4 and several folders in boxes 1 and 2 deal with this type information. This information used in conjunction with the correspondence found in boxes 1 and 2 should give a complete picture of the various activities of this council.
