Scope and Contents

The Mexico Documents Collection consists of personal and official correspondence, printed documents, accounts and receipts, and other materials related to the government and peoples of Mexico. This loosely organized collection contains material ranging from a sixteenth-century Mexican manuscript to letters and documents pertaining to the United States' war with Mexico. When the provenance of the materials is known, that information has also been included with the documents.

Translations for many of these documents are available. This collection is an artificial one, consisting of many individual manuscripts which were pulled from the general Manuscripts Collection. It is organized alphabetically by the main entry.
