Finding aid for the Rosedale (Texas) and Rosedale Independent School District records, 1919-1924, 1990
In 1921 the Rosedale Independent School District consisted of two buildings situated about two miles apart, one at Voth and the other at Rosedale. “The School Review of Jefferson County, Texas”, 1921, states the building(s) were inadequate to the needs of the community and a plan was in the process to provide a central building for the school district. In 1921, the children above the fifth grade were sent from Voth to Rosedale and the high school children were sent to Beaumont High School.
This collection contains (1) bound book of report cards for grades 1-6, for the years 1919-1924, from the Rosedale Independent School District. It also contains a 1990 Beaumont Enterprise article concerning a reunion of Rosedale community citizens held at Tyrrell Park, and historical facts of the former community.
