Denton Benefit League RecordsAn Inventory to the Collection
Historical NoteEstablished in 1974, the Denton Benefit League (DBL) operates as a service organization for women that promotes volunteerism among its members and raises funds for non-sectarian, non-profit, and non-political agencies. As of 2008, DBL has given the community almost $3 million in funding distributed among 160 local organizations which work in the fields of social service, education, historical preservation and artistic endeavors. Funds are primarily raised through the annual Charity Ball, a special Tabloid section of the Denton Record-Chronicle, and other activities. Return to the Table of Contents
