Scope and Contents

The collection consists of miscellaneous books, framed certificates, memorabilia, plaques, and framed photographs. Four photographs have been removed from their old frames and placed into acid-free sleeves. These images are group portraits concerning athletic activities.

The materials within this collection were donated by the family of Dr. James William Davis, a professor emeritus of political science at Texas Tech until his passing. Davis specialized in state government and constitutionals law, and served on two Texas constitutional revision committees.
