Biographical Sketch
The Minority Faculty and Staff Association Records was "an organization of professional Texas Tech University and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center employees interested in issues concerning minorities and the recruitment and retention of minority students, faculty and staff, specifically Blacks and Hispanics." In 1990, the organization ratified its name change to the Texas Tech University and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Minority Faculty and Staff Association. In 1992, it established a $200 scholarship to be awarded at the university.

The collection documents the activities of theTh Texas Tech University and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Minority Faculty and Staff Association from 1988-2000. Included are correspondence, memos, meeting minutes and agendas, programs and invitations and news clippings.
