Biographical Sketch

The Department of Civil Engineering in involved with soil testing and analyses, the use of water resources, as well as its involvement with wind research since 1971, in response to the 1970 Lubbock Tornado.

Scope and Content

The collection deals with civil engineering related subjects, primarily related to clay soil testing and analysis, repair of bomb damaged airfield pavements, and various pavement mixtures that make airfield pavements withstand temperatures, takeoffs, wind and water resistant, and stable in a number of scenarios.
