         <head>Biographical Sketch</head>
         <p>Formed in 2005, the West Texas Coalition for the George W. Bush Presidential Library is a joint effort of regional higher education 
			institutions, cities, counties and business leaders supporting and promoting Texas Tech University (TTU) in Lubbock, Texas, as the site 
			for the George Walker Bush Presidential Library.  In October, TTU was chosen as one of the four finalist sites along with Baylor 
			University, Southern Methodist University and the University of Dallas.</p>
			<p>On November 16, 2005, members of the West Texas Coalition went to Washington, D. C., to make their last presentation to the 
			Presidential Library Selection Committee.  Final site selection is expected to be made in late spring 2006 or early summer 2006.</p>

         <head>Scope and Content</head>
         <p>The collection consists of materials created and collected by the West Texas Coalition for the George W. Bush Presidential Library to 
			promote Texas Tech University as the site for the Bush Library.  The first box contains primarily newsclippings concerning competition 
			between the various entities seeking to win the bid for the Bush Library, along with proposal information from the West Texas Coalition 
			for the George W. Bush Presidential Library.  The second box contains memorabilia type materials.</p>
