Biographical Sketch

As spelled out in the Regent's Rules of May 11, 2001, the Athletic Council reviews and makes recommendations to Texas Tech's president, chancellor and Board of Regents on matters concerning the intercollegiate athletic programs. The Council is composed of six appointed members, one of whom is elected chair.

Scope and Content

The collection consists of applications, baseball files, basketball files, Border Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, correspondence, financial material, football files, golf files, meeting minutes, National Collegiate Athletic Association, newspaper clippings, Southwest Athletic Conference, sports files, state officials, statistics, swimming files, tennis files, and track files. The oversized materials involve blueprints of the athletic dormitory, tennis courts, and contracts.

 

The collection is divided into two sections: manuscripts and oversized materials.
