The founder of Foote, Cone and Belding Advertising Agency, Belding was
born in 1898. He also founded the Freedoms Foundation with Dr. Kenneth Bell and
financier E. F. Hutton. In 1962, he started a scholarship fund at Texas Tech
University to support international students in the study of advertising.
