         <p>The United Confederate Veterans was organized in 1890 by former
		  confederate veterans. It staged annual reunions in various southern cities,
		  including Dallas and Amarillo and other Texas locations.</p>

         <head>Scope and Contents</head>
         <p>The collection includes handwritten minutes, printed programs for the
		  1910 United Confederate Veterans (UCV) Reunion at Amarillo, Southern Cross of
		  Honor certificates, small scrapbooks, and other memorabilia. Some of the items
		  are in fragile condition.</p>
