T. (Thomas) Lindsay Baker received his B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in
history at Texas Tech University. He conducted extensive work in both the
history of technology and social and cultural history, and published several
books in those areas. Baker also served as a curator at museums in Canyon, Fort
Worth and Waco, Texas. The Westerners International is a foundation whose
purpose is to encourage interest and research in frontier history. T. Lindsay
served as president at one time.
