Biographical Sketch

These chapbooks were completed as a class project for English 2351, Spring 2009. Brent Newsom, at that time a graduate student, taught this class, which included a service learning component. Students met with and interviewed senior citizens at the Lubbock Senior Center. The students then wrote creative pieces (poetry and creative nonfiction) based upon their interactions with their senior partner. The students made three copies of their chapbooks: one for themselves, one for their senior partner, and one for Prof. Newsom. These are Prof. Newsom’s copies.
