Grant applications and files on intervention programs form the bulk of the records. Most of these records deal with the grant application process from fiscal years 1984-1986. This process involves the ECI program receiving the grant applications, reviewing the grants, awarding a contract to the successful grant applicant, and monitoring the programs. Program files include quarterly performance reports, work plan progress reports, narrative evaluation summaries, financial status reports, contracts, job descriptions, and grant award notification. Most of the contracts are between the Texas Department of Health and the grant applicant to implement a program of early childhood intervention services under authority of the Interagency Council.
