Biographical Note

Frederik Pohl is an icon of science fiction. He has progressed through the various aspects of the genre, active as a fan, writer, editor, and literary agent. He edited Astonishing Stories and Super Science Stories, and later edited both Galaxy and If magazines. Pohl is highly regarded as a writer, with The Space Merchants, Man Plus,Gateway and Jem cited among his noteworthy efforts.
