Biographical Sketch
Irrigated farming began in Ward County, Texas, before the turn of the century,
utilizing waters of the Pecos, tributary streams and spring systems.
Scope and Content
The collection contains images of Ward County, Texas. Includes buildings, crops,
families, school group photograph, early settlers, bank, aqueduct, irrigated farming,
mules, stable, harvesting equipment, circa 1894. Crop images make up the majority.
