         <head>Biographical Sketch</head>
         <p>Henry Brunk's tent shows toured the states of Colorado, Florida, Iowa,
		  Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Texas from the early 1910s to the early 1960s.
		  He was manager of the traveling road shows for many years. At one time they had
		  seven tent shows running but after World War II, tent shows declined in
		  popularity. They brought cheap entertainment to the rural areas of the
		  southwest.</p>

         <p>This collection consists of photographs of groups of people involved
		  in tent show productions, tents used for tent show performances, performing
		  artists, audiences watching performances, and family portraits.</p>
