Brewster County is the largest county in Texas. Its mountains and
canyons have a distinctive geology, plant and animal life. It was organized in
1887. The economic base is Sul Ross University, ranching, tourism,
government services, retirement developments, and hunting leases.
This collection consists of photographs of groups of people,
architecture, ranching activities, geographic locations, road building and life
along the Texas-Mexico border.
