		<p>John A. Kay came to Wichita Falls in 1911 as a geologist for
		  Continental Oil Company to work in the recently discovered fields in Wichita
		  County. In 1930, he opened his own business as a consulting geologist for the
		  area.</p>

		<p>This collection consists of photographs of geologists in the oil and
		  gas industry and their equipment (1918).</p> 
		<p>The negatives and prints are housed in separate envelopes.</p>
