		<head>Biographical Sketch</head> 
		<p>Cherokee County, named for the Cherokee Indians, is located in central
		  East Texas. According to the Handbook of Texas Online, Cherokee County is
		  "bordered on the north by Smith County, on the east by Rusk and Nacogdoches
		  counties, on the south by Angelina County, and on the west by Anderson and
		  Houston counties." The area is rich in natural resources such as oil, abundant
		  water, natural gas and timber.</p>
