	 <head>Biographical Note</head> 
	 	<p>Dian Malouf is a professional photographer, author, and internationally known jewelry designer. She was born in Houston, reared on a ranch in Hebbronville, and now lives in Dallas, Texas. She attended Southern Methodist University. She is the author of two books, <emph render="doublequote">The Cattle Kings of Texas</emph> and <emph render="doublequote">Seldom Heard: Ranchers, Ranchos and Rumors of the South Texas Brush Country.</emph> Malouf is married to tax attorney Donald J. Malouf, and they have four children.</p>

	 	<p>Malouf spent 10 years researching and photographing Texas ranchers for her book, <emph render="doublequote">The Cattle Kings of Texas.</emph> These records consist of the tapes and transcripts of interviews with prominent cattle ranchers of Texas.</p>
