		<head>Scope and Content Note</head> 
		<p>This collection is comprised of copies of 14 documents from the Texas State Archives which date from 1836 to 1870 and pertain to Jonathan S. Collard, veteran of the Texas Revolution, and James H. Collard, San Jacinto veteran.  The documents are organized by person and processed as received.  There are thirteen Republic of Texas claims including audited claims, public debt claims, Republic pensions and unpaid and miscellaneous claims pertaining to Jonathan S. Collard.  A single audited military claim for James H. Collard is dated June 6, 1839.</p>
